WORKING PHILOSOPHY
I believe in creating collaborative work environments founded on the tenets of safety, kindness, and efficiency.
I strive to build teams that work together, take care of each other, and are effective in their roles. Asking questions is never frowned upon but best efforts are expected.
As a team member, I take care to prioritize the tasks and responsibilities on my plate. I put my best into my work, I value organization, I work to be prepared for the future by anticipating needs, and I commit myself to continuous improvement.
"I have 3 words for you if you are considering hiring Katie Sponseller: Hire Her Now... In short: If you don't hire Katie, your competition will.
And she will make them more successful."
Dr. Phil Hoffman
WUCF Orlando PBS Executive Director
"Always responsible and self-motivated I witnessed Katie turn obstacles and setbacks into learning experiences and applied what she learned into creative problem-solving opportunities.
Due to her hard work and interpersonal relationship ability, Katie formed strong creative teams that led to the successful completion of all of her projects. Organized, sensible, and mature, she is creative and intelligent and able to accomplish any challenge coming her way."
Wenhwa Ts'ao
Award-Winning Filmmaker & Professor
"I found her to be consistent, timely, and had a noticeable enthusiasm and positive attitude. Very quickly, I pegged her for the type of person who doesn’t desire anything less than an 'A.'"

Videographer / Editor, Impact Communications

REEL EQUITY: GENDER BIAS IN PAY ON FILM AND TELEVISION CREWS
The crafts of Script Supervisors, Production Coordinators, and Art Department Coordinators earn hundreds or thousands less per week than comparable male-dominated crafts.
The "script girls" and secretaries of an earlier era have become media professionals essential to the success of film and television productions. But as this study commissioned by IATSE Local 871 shows, job segregation, gender bias, and gender stereotypes continue to impact the work environment and earnings of these traditionally female-dominated crafts.
